All Barnacre hand knitted garments come gift wrapped with the elegance you would expect from buying something that is uniquely created from lovingly cared for animals.

Alpaca Fibre is exceptionally fine, warm and bright.  It is lighter and softer than cashmere.  It is also stronger, warmer and more durable than wool.  There isn't any lanolin (oil) in alpaca fibre, unlike sheep wool.  Our animals are sheared once a year and the fleeces are then either hand spun by Debbie or processed at a specialist mini mill with no colour dyes used.  The end result is a natural, luxurious yarn.

Buying is easy.  Browse our online shop, select any of the categories or pictures you see to display available products.  Use the scroll bars on the right to see everything!  Click the yellow button 'Add to Order' for any items you wish to buy.  This takes you to the order form where you can either continue shopping, remove any of the items selected or pay using PayPal, or with a debit or credit card (through our partner Nochex).  In the shop you can also press the yellow button 'Checkout' found at the top right or 'View Order' next to the various products at any time.

Payment by PayPal is safely made to barnacre-alpacas@hotmail.co.uk. We accept all major debit and credit cards: Visa Debit (Delta), Visa Electron, Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Switch and Solo.  Online debit and credit card processing is done securely by our partner Nochex and please be aware that card payments will appear as Nochex on your statement.  There is no charge made to you by Barnacre Alpacas, PayPal or Nochex when you make a purchase from us.  Paypal and Nochex payments are limited to £100 per transaction.

If you would prefer to buy anything by email, telephone, in writing or in person then please contact us 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  We will happily take a cheque or cash if you would prefer.

Postage is fully included at no extra charge with Royal Mail 'first class recorded signed for'.  This requires a signature from the receiver and delivery should be the next working day.  We will post your order within 3 days of receiving your money.

Returns will be accepted within 7 days of you receiving the goods and we will give a full refund so long as the goods are returned to us in the condition we sent them to you.

Visits to Barnacre alpacas can be arranged to meet the animals that your garments are made from contact us for more details.  You can also visit meet the herd if you want to know all about the alpaca that your garment is made from.

Washing your alpaca fibre garment should be done carefully by hand using a mild hand washing liquid, hand wrung and laid flat to dry.  Alternatively, professionally dry clean.
